Avoid signing or dating the document beforehand, as some documents require signing and dating in the presence of a notary.
Ensure that you have all the pages of the document(s) filled out and ready for signing, not just the signature page.
Make sure that all individuals signing the document have acceptable identification that meets the requirements of the state.
